03 / Room Budget Planner · A Little Room Edit tool
A beautiful room,
with a considered budget.
Make room for the whole cost: furniture, small finishing touches, delivery, and a buffer for the unexpected. Use your own quotes; the planner does the adding.
Changing the currency changes the label only; it does not convert prices. Enter prices in a single currency.
| Item or task | Category | Quantity | Unit cost | Line total | Actions |

Begin with what the room needs
Write down the functions the room must support before shopping. A better lamp, a reachable storage shelf or a chair that fits can be more useful than a large decorative purchase. Enter actual quotes and keep the nice-to-have items visible, but separate from the essentials in your notes.
Put the less visible costs on the list
Delivery, assembly, approved fixings, installation, disposal and return charges can change the total. Add them as their own lines. If a quote includes tax, use that inclusive price; if it does not, add a tax line using the amount applicable to your purchase. The tool does not calculate tax rates.
How the buffer works
The buffer is a percentage of the items subtotal. It is a planning cushion you choose, not a forecast of what will happen. The default 10% is only an editable starting point. Reduce or increase it based on how complete your measurements and quotes are.
Keep a copy of the project
Save the budget in this browser while you work. Download the CSV for a spreadsheet, or use the print button and your browser’s “Save as PDF” option for a tidy paper copy. Changing devices does not move local saved work automatically.
